Volunteers at the Mitchell Museum are more valuable to us than a priceless work of art!
What is a volunteer? What is the value of volunteering? Is volunteering about money and should we measure it that way? Most people would say no. Volunteering is not about money. Volunteering is about giving, contributing, and helping the entire community.
People volunteer for an endless variety of reasons. Many people want to gain experience, acquire new skills, meet new people, or expand their network of contacts as a way to get a new job or start a career. Many just want to give back to their community and promote a worthwhile cause. They do it because it makes them feel good. There are many ways to volunteer your time at the A.R. Mitchell Museum, below are just a few of the ways you could help us and the entire community of Trinidad. You may have a special talent that we could use on one occasion such as photography or you may be retired, have ample free time and would like to become a docent or work in our gift shop. Listed below are just a few of the ways you could volunteer at the museum but please, contact us if you have a unique or special service that you can provide.
